Peakland Cycling Club

History

Peakland Cycling Club was first formed in 1919 and has run more or less continually since (with the exception of the war years). Technology has improved machines and clothing has changed but still the same values are present of likeminded individuals wanting to enjoy the countryside at an acceptable pace.

Planned Rides

We ride on the first Sunday of each month, setting off from the car park of The Fox at 9:30. Any one interested in joining in should come suitably attired for the prevailing weather conditions and bring a puncture repair kit and money for a pub lunch.

How observant are you

You might think that you have good eyesight but take the test to see how easy it is to miss things.
A trip down memory lane
In the 1920's the Penny farthing was still popular

In the 1940's Road racing was taken seriously

Now a days most club members have sensible touring machines
